Proposed and existing routes drawn from PTAG papers, Feb–Jul 2026
Pedestrian-only cut-throughs proposed for conversion to shared use, to make east–west journeys across town practical. Each would need barrier modification, signage and possibly some widening.
How these are drawn: the source papers name the streets at each end but not the path itself. The map locates those streets in OpenStreetMap, then shows every footpath, alley and track between them. One of those is the cut-through in question, so treat this as the candidate set rather than a single confirmed line.
Not mapped: Days Park — no street pair is given in the source papers, so there is nothing to anchor a search to.
Solid lines are traced from OpenStreetMap by street name, so they follow the real highway. Dashed lines are indicative corridors — the source papers name the start and end points but no surveyed alignment exists, so these show roughly where a route would run, not where it would be built.
Nothing here is a design or a commitment. It is a visual index of what PTAG members and the Purbeck Transport Needs Survey have put forward.
